Crispy Cheese Biscuits


 

Ingredients:
 
Flour - 120 gms
Butter - 75 gms
Cheese - 80 gms
Cream - 3 Tsp
Salt - ½ Tsp
Chilli powder - ¼ Tsp
Mustard powder - 1/8 Tsp
Baking powder - ½ Tsp
Milk or egg - for brush
 
Baking Temp - 120 ° C
Baking Time - 35-40 minutes
 
 

Method:
 
1.     Cream the butter & add grated cheese a little at a time & cream the mixture together gradually.
2.     Sieve the flour & baking powder and add salt, chilli powder & mustard powder to the flour mixture mix well.
3.     Add fresh cream to the cream mixture & lastly fold in the flour mixture.
4.     Knead lightly to incorporate the flour & make a  smooth dough.
5.     Wrap in grease proof paper & refrigerate for a minimum 15 minutes to a maximum of 1hour.
6.     Rollout the dough into 1/4” thickness & cut in to different shapes using a cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking tray.
7.     Brush with egg wash or Milk wash & sprinkle poppy seeds over it. Bake at 120 ° C for 35-40 minutes.

Very simmple method....I try this cheese biscuits for my daughter.
